Splitter's latest single 'GROOVE TEMPO' drops on Monday, but before we get to that day, we posed some questions to Splitter, asking this fantastic artist what has been happening since his last release, on 'Umbra Divisa' with SILKENWOOD...
What have you been up to since your last release on FFA with Silkenwood, on Umbra Divisa?
"Had a full style rebrand, released a lot of tunes, other than that same old!"
Listen to 'incarcerate (i can't let go)' by Splitter.
How has your sound evolved since that release?
"It’s definitely improved A LOT. I think it’s become way more distinctive, definitely focusing on quality rather than quantity, and my mixdowns don’t sound like a construction site anymore haha."
What has been your biggest inspiration, possibly since Umbra Divisa or even in the past year?
"Without a doubt it would have to be Moore Kismet’s ‘huemor me’ EP. The inspiration I got that came off of that EP was unmatched to any other project in the EDM scene."
What can the listeners expect from your upcoming single, ‘GROOVE TEMPO’?
"Definitely something almost no one has done before. I mean who else has combined Quintuplet Swing Dubstep with Gospel??? :)"
What’s been the most exciting aspect of working on a track such as GROOVE TEMPO?
"The track was pretty fun to work on from the beginning. I started it during a day at college where it sounded wildly different to the version today, took it back home, and completely transformed it into possibly one of the most unique tracks I’ve made to date."
What do you want the listeners to take away from a release such as this one?
"Don’t be afraid to try something weird, someone might like it."
What plans do you have for the future of splitter?
"I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise 🤫"
'GROOVE TEMPO' by Splitter drops on all platforms, this coming Monday!
